Jennifer L. Fila is a 9 year veteran of the University Police who started her law enforcement career working for SUNY Purchase in 1998. She transferred to the University at Albany in October of 1999. She graduated Cum Laude from Mercy College in 2001 with a BA in Psychology and she received her Master’s in Public Administration from Marist College in 2005. Her position as Inspector within the department has broadened her responsibilities to include: pursuing both national (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) and state (New York State Division of Criminal Justice Service) law enforcement accreditation; developing and revising departmental policies; teaching both RAD for Women and radKIDS to both the University and surrounding communities; coordinating the Operation Safe Corridor initiative, and directing the department’s recruitment efforts.
