Building Security
Most campus facilities, with the exception of residence halls, are open to the public during the day and evening hours when classes are in session. Residence Halls are locked twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, with card access for residents and other authorized individuals. The general public is encouraged to attend cultural, athletic and other activities on campus with access limited to the facilities in which the events take place.
At night and during periods of time when classes are not in session, University buildings are generally locked. Faculty, staff and limited numbers of students with proper identification and appropriately issued keys and access cards are allowed access to the buildings. Campus employees with assigned offices are issued keys. They are responsible for reporting missing and stolen keys.
